Find the right event table

Banquets, classrooms, cocktail hours or a mix: tell us how you'll use your tables and how guests sit, and we'll suggest three that fit, with today's price for your quantity.

Question 1

What kind of place are you?

So we only ask what matters for you.

What size table seats how many

Round tables: a 48 inch round seats 4 comfortably or 6 snug, a 60 inch round seats 8 or up to 10, and a 72 inch round seats 10 or up to 12. Bigger tables give guests more room but take more floor.

Rectangular tables: a 6 foot table seats 6, or 8 with one at each end. An 8 foot table seats 8, or 10 with the ends. Narrow 18 inch training tables seat people on one side, facing the front.

Wood or plastic?

Plywood tables are the classic banquet table under a tablecloth: heavy, steady and quiet. Titan Series tops are 12-ply plywood, TitanPRO Birchwood tops are birch with an aluminum edge, and the Plus lines use European birch.

Plastic tables are lighter, wipe clean, and handle outdoor events and spills. Bi-fold tables fold in half like a suitcase for tight storage.

Farm and finished wood tables are made to be seen, so they suit weddings and dinners where you don't want linens.

Half rounds, quarter rounds and serpentines join banquet tables into buffet lines and head tables.

Buying in quantity

Most tables get cheaper at higher quantities, and the Advisor shows how close you are to the next price break.

Orders of tables and chairs over $5,000 ship free. A table cart holds 16 plywood or 20 plastic banquet tables, and the Advisor suggests how many you need.

Questions people ask

How many tables do I need for 100 guests?
Divide your guests by how many sit at each table: 13 tables at 8 a table, or 10 at 10 a table. For a standing cocktail hour, plan about one cocktail table for every 10 guests, so 10 tables. Give the Advisor your guest count and it works out the number for each table it suggests.
How many people fit at a 6 foot table?
Six, three on each side, or eight if you seat one person at each end. An 8 foot table seats 8, or 10 with the ends.
What size round table seats 8?
A 60 inch round seats 8 comfortably, or 10 if you seat them snug. For 10 with room to spread out, use a 66 or 72 inch round; for 4, a 48 inch round.
Should I buy plywood or plastic folding tables?
Plywood tables are heavier and the standard under linens for banquets. Plastic tables are lighter, easier for volunteers to set up, and better outdoors. Rental companies often stock both.
Do tables ship free?
Orders of tables and chairs over $5,000 ship free, and each table's free-shipping deal shows on your results.
What happens after I ask for a table quote?
An EventStable rep checks the sizes and quantity against how you said you'll use them and emails your quote within 48 hours. If you need a size that isn't listed online, say so in the note. The quote is free, and nothing is charged until you accept it.
